first wear, black and gold shoes

first wear black gold shoes a Last Friday night I wore my new crazy black and gold shoes for the first time. They are absolutely NOT for walking in, at least not for very far, but I love them all the same. I like that they are so different to my usual massive platforms, but then again they remind me of the smaller platforms Rita Hayworth wears in Gilda. They're from topshop, by the way! Can you see where I whack my ankle bones with my flat brogues?! Of all the shoes I have that end up being dangerous..! Oh and that other mark is my first mozzy bite of the season. They get me proper. Anyway, I wore these with a black 1940s dress to dinner – and I have a post abut it all soon! x first wear black gold shoes b

They look amazing on! The black and gold contrast beautifully with your skin tone. Perhaps they will get a little easier to walk in soon?

Gorgeous shoes!

Oh, and I feel your pain re mozzies. They love me too and I always have to either hide inside for most of summer or cover myself with repellent. :(

I'm always being attacked by mozzies. There must be something delicious in our blood! I just got stung by a bee for the first time ever and it has been soooooo painful :(

Love the shoes, I have a few that are more works of art than practical myself! But that is what boyfriends are for - giving us piggybacks at the end of the night!

Immensely pretty, chicly stylish shoes. The stark black and warm gold look amazing with your fair skin.

Gorgeous! I saw some similar ones on modcloth (I think it was there), but I wasn't sure how they'd look... They look lovely!

I had to Google mozzy bites. :P Of course we have those in Canada too, but we don't indulge them with a cute nickname, haha!

Stunning shoes on you, be they practical or otherwise...

Thanks!

Frances: I think I'm so used to sturdy platforms that these will always be odd for me :D

Teresa: don't they suck! And they're so eager and so determined! Do you find that Paw Paw helps relieve them? It does for me :)

Helen: haha Christmassy?! That's funny! :D

Miss Emmi: oh no, wicked bumble bee! No piggy backs for me – I strut until the end (and cheer when I put my slippers on the second I'm home, haha!)

Anonymous: haha I didn't think of that! I think it's part of our Australian language: shorten everything unless it is short already, and then you add an O or A! :D

Entire outfit soon! Sorry, I've been extra busy this week.
